Data sources and accuracy

The information in this report is drawn from official UK government sources and licensed automotive data partners. Our free Vehicle Check uses data from the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA), Transport for London (TfL), and UK Vehicle Data (UKVD). Our paid Premium Vehicle Report additionally includes data provided by Experian — the UK's leading provider of vehicle provenance, finance, write-off and valuation data. While we take care to display data accurately as it is supplied to us, we cannot guarantee that third-party data is complete, current, or error-free. Records may be delayed, missing, or inaccurate, particularly for recent events such as ownership changes, MOT outcomes, or tax status updates. Some data points are intentionally not displayed in the free report and are reserved for our paid Premium Vehicle Report.

Not a substitute for professional inspection

A vehicle history check tells you what records exist for a vehicle. It cannot tell you the mechanical condition of the car, identify hidden damage, or confirm that what you see in person matches the records. Before purchasing any vehicle, we strongly recommend an independent pre-purchase inspection by a qualified mechanic or vehicle inspection service such as the AA, RAC, or a trusted local technician.
